Abstract:
The physical space method of deriving Morawetz-Energy estimates in Kerr, that is robust method which can be easily extended to perturbations of Kerr, have played an important role in the proof of the nonlinear stability of slowly rotating Kerr black holes. In this talk, I will discuss a physical space derivation of global Morawetz-Energy estimates for the scalar wave equation in a Kerr spacetime with large angular momentum. Based on joint work with Sergiu Klainerman.
