2020 Fields Institute Annual General Meeting

Location: Online

Due to the current pandemic, the Fields Institute is holding its annual general meeting (AGM) virtually on June 25, 2020, from 2-3 pm (EDT) to fulfill its fiduciary responsibilities. We are inviting all Members of Corporation to join us. 

How to Participate

Participation is voluntary and optional. If you do wish to participate, and you are a Member of Corporation, you can register to attend the virtual AGM or you can appoint a proxy (such as the Chair of the Fields Institute Board of Directors, or someone else of your choosing) to attend and vote on your behalf.

Join our virtual Annual General Meeting on June 25, 2020, at 2 pm (EDT). This year’s brief agenda will include standard AGM business items. View the Meeting Materials.

If you can't attend the AGM but still wish to participate, you can appoint a proxy (either the Chair of the Fields Institute Board of Directors, or someone else of your choosing) who will attend and vote on business items at the AGM on your behalf. The online proxy form takes less than five minutes to complete. Completed proxies must be received by June 24, 2020, at 5 pm (EDT).

Data and privacy: This online proxy form is powered by a third-party service called SurveyGizmo. SurveyGizmo's privacy policies are available here. If you do not wish to use SurveyGizmo, you may email us a completed PDF version of the proxy form instead. Simply download the PDF proxy form, fill it out and send it by June 24, 2020, at 5 pm (EDT).

Note that the PDF must be signed, either by e-signature (using software like Adobe Reader) or by scanning a printed, signed PDF.

If you are a Fields Institute Member of the Corporation, yes!

The Fields Institute has many ways of keeping our community engaged and involved in the activity ongoing at the Institute. A key event is our Annual General Meeting, which is a forum for Members of the Corporation and the Fields Institute community to get together, exchange ideas, and make decisions about future steps for Fields

Why participate?

To provide Members of the Corporation with an opportunity to address the Board of Directors. The Directors create policy and make decisions that have a direct impact on membership. Your presence at an AGM allows you to hold the Board of Directors accountable and/or show your support.
