The Fields Working Group on Nonlinear Evolution Equations is an informal group of students and researchers in analysis, applied mathematics, and partial differential equations, who convene once a week to discuss mathematical research of common interest. It functions partly as a journal club and partly as a venue for presenting work in progress, especially by young researchers. The 2002-03 research theme centers around nonlinear heat flows and models for fluid mechanics. Participants are welcome, as are suggestions for presentations.
