Organizers: Confirmed Participants: Akio Fujiwara (Osaka) Format: Overview: While quantum information has always been a motivation for the geometric study of quantum state spaces, this activity will bring together leading experts in quantum information geometry with a common interest in the application of geometric techniques to specific problems of quantum computing, such as quantum estimation, quantum channel entropy,quantum noise and entanglement and quantum algorithms. At the same time, it aims to review the existing different trends in order to establish a unified framework for further research into the differential geometric properties of quantum state spaces in general. McMaster Local InformationMcMaster University and the recently renovated James Stewart Centre for Mathematics is located in Hamilton Hall and home of the Department of Mathematics & Statistics. The McMaster campus is a 45-minute drive from Toronto's Pearson International Airport. Hamilton also has a small airport of its own with regular service to Montreal, Calgary, Ottawa and other cities in Canada on Westjet For Participant flying into Toronto's Pearson Airport, and there is a convenient shuttle service that will bring you directly to Hamilton offered through Airways Transit.
