This workshop is a part of the program Microlocal Methods in Geometric Analysis and Mathematical
Physics (fall 97). The purpose of this workshop is to bring together experts
on mathematical physics and on microlocal methods in the study of partial
differential equations. The specific topics will include
- semi-classical analysis
- large Coulomb systems
- periodic structures and random potentials
- resonances
Immediately following the workshop Professor Johannes Sjoestrand of Ecole Polytechnique
will deliver the annual
Blyth Lectures of the Department of Mathematics
at the University of Toronto.
