This will be an informal discussion on algebraic structures that arise from Morse theory, formulated using techniques discovered in the last five years or so. The end goal will be to talk about some joint work Jacob Lurie, but we can go at a leisurely pace. Some background ideas like stacks, moduli spaces of gradient trajectories, and stable homotopy theory can be discussed as the audience desires.
