Dirac structures, a common generalization of Poisson structures and closed 2-forms, appear naturally in the problem of deformation quantization of families of Poisson manifolds. In particular, they can be used to construct a quantization of a twisted Poisson structure to an algebroid stack. I will speak about this somewhat old result, and include speculations about non-perturbative quantization of Dirac structures.
