Goncharov's conjectures and homology of general linear groups

Abstract:
Goncharov's conjectures attempt to describe the rationalised algebraic K-theory of fields in terms of multiple polylogarithms, generalising the work of Bloch and Suslin on K_3. I will explain these conjectures and then describe some progress on them, joint with Daniil Rudenko and Ismael Sierra.
