Through some examples of equality of Artin (aritmetic) factors with those defined by Langlands-Shahidi method (analytic factors) by means of local Langlands correspondence for GL(n), we will set up possible axioms needed to establish the equality in general. In particular, we will discuss what will be needed to generalize "multiplicativity" in terms of Schur functors. We will conclude by making some remarks on Braverman-Kazhdan/Ngo method which is a potential source of producing analytic factors in general.
