Abstract:
After a brief review of the basic concept of spectral dimension and related spectral functionals I'll discuss the application to the case of fractals modelled on infinite paths in a binary tree. Using the Pearson-Bellisard spectral triple, I'll show that the spectral dimension depends on the choice of algebra. Based on work in progress with Carla Farsi.
