Abstract:
It is known that Taylor series of functions holomorphic in the unit disc generically exhibit some kind of universality outside of the unit disc and in particular on the unit circle. Due to classical and recent results on the boundary behavior of Taylor series, for
functions Hardy- and Bergman spaces such universality properties turn out to be severely restricted. In this talk it is shown how results on simultaneous approximation by polynomials can be applied to prove corresponding universality results.
